Good luck to Yamba SLSC members competing at Aussie’s this week; Jim Dougherty, competing in the Masters, Will Brighton, Kealy Day and Harry Fahey competing in the U19’s, Vince Boulton, Chris Bonner, Isaac Brotherson, Joe O’Keeffe and sweep Rod McSkimming rowing in the Reserve surf boat events.

The following courses are being held by the Branch: Spinal Management (30th May) and First Aid (31st May). These courses are free for all members; please contact the office ASAP if you would like to attend.

24 swimmers participated in the Carl Schaeffer Handicap Swim on Easter Monday. Jess Humphries, off 100 seconds, took first place, with regular visitor Don Marsh, off 200 seconds, second and Belinda Bock, off 100 seconds, third. Sundays swim had 20 starters. First place went to Michael Storman, off 60 seconds. Handicapper Belinda Sanders extends a special congratulation to Michael as this was his first swim in almost 2 years. Jorden Elabbasi, off 140 seconds, was second and Jim Wheeler, off 130 seconds, was third.

Don’t forget Yamba SLSC girls and ladies Finz swimwear is currently available from the club at the greatly reduced price of $30 until the Anzac weekend. Please contact the club during office hours.

Yamba SLSC meat raffles are on every Saturday evening at the Yamba Golf and Country Club. Jane and Alan Lawrence, Ken Ryan and Jill Ennever will be selling tickets from 5:30pm with the draw staring at 6:30pm. Go along and try you luck!

Saturday 18th 12.30-4pm Patrol 7- Brent Sahlqvist, Josh Ryan, Joe Dougherty, Andrew Bell, Joe O’Keefe, Zac Robison, Cassie Maria, Angela Eke, Hannah Smith, Josh Robinson, Billy Holloway, Morgan Holloway, Lee Everett, Alex Robinson, Rory Frazer.

Sunday 19th 9-12.30pm Patrol 8- Pat Ridgway, Jim Wheeler, Linda Horton, Caitlin Cooney, Patrick De Billot, Ed McGrath, Helmut Klein, Sue-Ellen Hyne, Melinda Whitehouse, Colleen Hage, Chelsea Bridges, Emmerson Anderson.

Sunday 19th 12.30-4pm Patrol 9- Harry Fahey, Kealy Day, Jack Morrissey, Marty Rose, Chloe Willemsen, Rachel Fahey, Lucy Bindon, Rhys Comerford, Tarni Forbes, Will Pitkin, Charlie Bindon, Taylah Sutherland.
